Welcome to Science Is Fun:)
My name is Linda C. Smith and I am excited to be teaching 7th Grade, 7th Grade Accelerated and 8th Grade Science this year at YMS. I have three children. Ben is a senior at IU. Daniel and Ellie are seniors at YHS. My husband, Roger, is a veterinarian at Animal Medical Center in Yorktown.
I love teaching middle school science. Prior to coming to YMS I taught both high school and middle school science and discovered that middle school is where I truly belong. This year is going to be a great year for the YMS science program. 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Science Classes will all continue using Lab-Aids SEPUP Science Curriculum which allows students the opportunity for hands on inquiry based science instruction. This curriculum directly aligns with the Indiana Science Standards and I know it will be a fun and challenging way to learn and do what real scientists do.
